Play Serious — Act Moral
Ethicare is a research project that uses an interactive 3D serious moral game to investigate how nursing students deal with moral dilemmas in everyday care. As nurses in a care home, players face realistic ethical trade-offs between autonomy, non-maleficence and beneficence.
The serious moral game (“EthiCare”) is used to train ethical competence to act in the course ETDIV of the Bachelor's programme in Health and Nursing Care.
EthiCare effectively promotes the further development of the students' moral and ethical competences while providing an entertaining and engaging learning environment.
Two “EthiCircles” are held between nursing and technology students to develop interdisciplinary perspectives on the game and on ethical questions.

Heute ist der EthiCircle in die erste Runde gestartet. Wir erproben ein interprofessionelles Lehrformat, das zugleich der Weiterentwicklung und Evaluierung von EthiCare dient.
